Office LAN Management Services
Our primary goal is to make the computing experience simpler, more reliable and more productive, while reducing the cost and complexity of network and desktop support. Desktop computing should facilitate productivity, employer and employee satisfaction and should not require excessive resources to support. We leverage the latest technologies to simplify the support of the most trouble-prone aspects of the computing environment and automate support tasks that would normally be resource intensive. In this way, we help end users maximize the amount of time actually spent completing their workload and reduce the frustration that is generated by computer “downtime”.
We will identify and recruit a LAN Manager with the appropriate skills to support your environment. This LAN Manager will have the full support of OpenChapter' administrative and technical staff. In the case of sickness or other absence, other LMS LAN managers or technical staff will support your computing environment so that your essential departmental duties can be completed. At other times, the LAN Manager appointed to your department may be asked to help support other departments when their OpenChapter network support staff are absent. On some occasions, the OpenChapter staff appointed to you may also be called upon to assist in other OpenChapter or Informatics Center computing projects as time permits. We will be responsible for providing day-to-day staff management, technical guidance and leadership and will provide support when staffing inconsistencies arise. We will be responsible for managing performance, providing technical training and certification testing and setting goals for formal development of other types necessary to fulfill your department’s needs.
In consideration of the role OpenChapter plays in support and management of this individual, the department must retain OpenChapter LAN Management Services as network consultants formalized in a yearly contract.
